This is a bitter sweet topic for me. I love the idea of starting seeds and having trays of plants to put in the garden. However, I am the worst, the absolute worst when it comes to starting seeds in the house. I have tried for three years with different methods, windows and seeds. When it comes to this I am my mother – the killer of all plants.

This year we started with new hope, lights and a heat mat. With our fingers crossed we planted and waited. Huzzah! Those tiny green sprigs popped up. Then I moved the light to close and fried half the tray. Thank goodness for extra seeds.
